We are a surgical dermatology practice specializing in the diagnosis and removal of skin cancers. The three main forms of skin cancer are Basal Cell Carcinoma, Squamous Cell Carcinoma and Malignant Melanoma. Basal Cell Carcinomas and Squamous Cell Carcinomas are usually removed by Mohs' Surgery. This is a surgical treatment which gives a very high rate of cure. This procedure is performed in office under local anesthesia. Malignant Melanoma, may be life-threatening if not treated early. Often, a
diagnosis of melanoma results from a routine checkup or from a patient bringing
a suspicious mole to a doctor's attention. The first sign of melanoma is usually
a change in the size, shape, or color of a mole. Another symptom of melanoma
is a change in how a mole feels; it can become tender, itchy, or hard. Melanoma
may appear as a new mole. A chart is available to see what kinds of things
